The problem
My client ran a growing service business where every missed call was a missed booking. Their team couldn't staff a phone line around the clock, and voicemail was quietly costing them customers who called a competitor instead of leaving a message.
They needed something that could pick up instantly, sound natural, and actually resolve most calls on its own — not a basic IVR menu that frustrates callers into hanging up.
What I built
Rossignol is a voice AI receptionist that answers, understands, and responds to real customer calls in real time. Each business trains it on their own information in minutes — services, hours, pricing, common questions — and it picks up the phone the way a well-briefed employee would.
The system handles the full call lifecycle: greeting, understanding intent, answering questions, and routing anything it can't resolve to a human, without ever leaving a caller in a dead-end voicemail loop.
Under the hood
The stack combines real-time voice infrastructure with an AI reasoning layer built to keep latency low enough that the conversation feels natural rather than robotic. Telephony, speech processing, and the response engine all had to work together with sub-two-second turnaround, since anything slower breaks the illusion of talking to a person.
The result
Today, 92% of incoming calls are resolved without any human involvement — questions answered, bookings taken, information given — with the system picking up in under two seconds, every time, around the clock. The client no longer loses business to a call that goes unanswered.
Building something similar, or need a receptionist that never sleeps?
